It’s The Nerve

It’s not about treating the Muscle, It’s about treating the Nerve.

IT’S THE NERVE

I was given the opportunity to demo It’s the Nerve prior to its release in early 2016. I was intrigued by the name, It’s the Nerve, as I deal with the nervous system and spinal alignment every day in my Chiropractic office. I’ve been plagued with occasional muscle cramping which occurs during high-level interval training and progressive resistance exercises. While I have tried several supplements and performance drinks which have worked fairly well, I was ready to upgrade to something that was purely science based and had the ability to work based upon the design of Nobel Peace Prize Neuroscientist Dr. Rod MacKinnon and Harvard Neurobiologist Dr. Bruce Bean. Their formula was created out of personal experience with severe cramping while kayaking on the sea. There are 3 proprietary ingredients in It’s the Nerve which are cinnamon, ginger and capsicum.

Cinnamon is best known as a spice, sprinkled on toast and lattes. But extracts from the bark of the cinnamon tree have may lower blood sugar in people with diabetes. Cinnamon is a powerful anti-oxidant and anti-oxidant properties. Historically, ginger has a long tradition of being very effective in alleviating symptoms of gastrointestinal distress, inhibit the formation of inflammatory compounds, and direct anti-inflammatory effects. While there are many different capsicum plants, common types include cayenne peppers, red peppers, and jalapenos. It takes its name from the Greek, ‘to bite,’ a reference to the hot pungent properties of the fruits and seeds. Capsaicin, a substance which stimulates the circulation and alters temperature regulation. Applied topically, capsaicin desensitizes nerve endings and makes a good local anesthetic.  I wanted to give It’s the Nerve a High Level Cycling Functional Threshold Test (FTP) where I know cramping would occur. And ITN truly worked as my exhaustion prevailed and not excruciating Muscle “Charlie Horse” Cramps.

So how did it work? The proprietary blend stimulates ion channels in the digestive tract (mouth, esophagus and stomach) upon ingestion. These activated receptors in the nervous system calm the over excited nerves reducing the input to the muscles and cramped muscle to relax. It is naturally sweetened with cane sugar and Stevia with only 40 calories per serving.

It’s the Nerve has a natural “warming kick” sensation to it which stimulates your digestive and nervous system.  It’s the Nerve is a scientifically proven and effective formula for preventing muscle cramps that is naturally flavored with no artificial sweeteners in convenient dose bottle.
